Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Owner – Software Development to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our software products that support artists and music distribution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure our products meet the needs of our users and align with iGroove’s mission and business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with iGroove’s goals and addresses the needs of artists and music distribution stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the music industry.
- Roadmap Development:
- Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
- Balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Backlog Management:
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is well-organized, up-to-date, and reflects the latest priorities and requirements.
- Write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications for the development team.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders (artists, internal teams, partners) and the development team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product goals and requirements.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve the product.
- Agile Leadership:
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure efficient and effective product development.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
- Developer Collaboration:
- Work closely with software developers to understand technical constraints and opportunities, ensuring that product features are feasible and aligned with technical capabilities.
- Provide detailed product requirements and specifications that guide developers in the implementation process.
- Participate in code reviews and testing processes to ensure the quality and functionality of the software products.
- Assist developers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during the product development lifecycle.
- Support the integration of new features and improvements into existing systems, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal disruption to users.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that products meet quality standards and user expectations.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and user satisfaction, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decisions.
- User-Centric Development:
- Conduct user research and usability testing to understand the needs and behaviors of artists and fans.
- Advocate for user-centric design and ensure that product developments enhance the overall user experience.
- Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product features and releases.
- Ensure that product launches are smooth and that all stakeholders are informed and prepared.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management and software development.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance product development efficiency and effectiveness.
- Explore integrations with emerging digital trends such as AI, gaming, and fitness to keep our marketing strategies fresh and forward-thinking.
